Cubix North Park is a high-density, transit-oriented modular design project. This four story building includes a basement and a ground floor that were site built, and three upper floors that utilized modular production.

JMA designed 36 modular boxes  parallel to the corridor, which allowed us to provide modulation on the ends by running the boxes at variable lengths. We achieved modulation on the long walls by removing the rim structure once the boxes were set in place.

This is the first fully modular project with Small Efficiency Dwelling Units to successfully pass the Seattle Design Review board as well as City of Seattle permitting. Construction began in early 2017, and boxes were placed on the site in August 2017. View the video featuring the modular production factory below!
