The Everett Clinic project is a reconfiguration of an existing 1970’s era wood-framed medical building. Functional plan includes construction of a waiting area, five exam rooms, and offices as well as construction of two procedure rooms, clean and dirty work areas, scrub areas, and recovery bays for a future ambulatory surgery center. The design leverages daylighting through clerestory windows in false mansard roof, clustering functional support spaces toward the center of the building under a flat-roofed area. AD Systems sliding doors preserve functional floor space, and LED lighting throughout reduces the building’s energy footprint, making the project eligible for the SBA Green Loan Program. A calming finish palette of cool blue-greens, grass golds, and subtle earth tones gives the space a clean, peaceful air, while wood tones used throughout provide a warming counterpoint.
