This unusual architectural project required upgrades to the existing historic Pier 57 in order to allow space for a 33 person flying ride and the associated lobby, preshow, loading, unloading, projection booth and operator room. The roof and pier structure had to be completely rebuilt from the ground up to provide a stable platform for the mechanical ride. The team included representatives from all over the world, including: California, Florida, Texas, Austria, Canada and of course Washington. The project includes a theme that is rich in Washington State history and will be used by local middle school curriculum classes.
