Affordable Housing Carries On Amid COVID-19

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced emergency legislation on Friday to create temporary land use permitting process changes that prioritize affordable housing development, keep projects moving forward by allowing experienced City staff to complete review processes, and enlist community participation by replacing in-person meetings with virtual and electronic outreach.

“We are so grateful and proud of the City of Seattle for stepping up and making affordable housing a priority in this difficult time,” said JMA Principal Robin Murphy. “We hope City Council can move forward since affordable housing is so important to our community.”
