A Message From Principal Robin Murphy
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
In this season of change and renewal, Jackson | Main Architecture (JMA) would like to announce JMA Founding Senior Principals Gregg Percich and Robert (Bob) Kroese will retire at the end of the year after laying the foundation for a company committed to its clients. Both architects have given JMA a legacy of enhancing a built environment through innovative design practices.
Gregg and Bob have always believed employees are a company’s strongest asset. They also believe in putting our clients first. I am confident those values will continue to see JMA into the future as both Gregg and Bob have mentored many designers throughout their 40-year careers in the architectural services industry, including myself.
“Gregg is a relentless hard worker, the sharpest tool, and one of the most ethical people I have ever met,” says Kroese. “He was one of the first people I worked with in Seattle and I am so glad he convinced me to join him in standing on our own.”
As founding members of Percich Kroese Johnson Busse Architectural Group (PKJB) and later JMA, Gregg and Bob have seen both companies through many challenges as well as periods of immense growth. Their leadership led JMA to where it stands today with over 50 employees, highly dedicated to both the clients and communities we serve from our offices in Seattle and Kansas City.
“It’s been a joy to watch the steady growth over the years and a part of me misses the old days when it was just the two of us,” says Percich who recalls staying up late to work on projects with Kroese. “Bob is an amazing designer and I have always respected his dedication and design ability.”
I am proud to have joined them in creating today’s JMA when my former firm Stricker Cato Murphy Architects (SCMA) merged with PKJB in 2015. As a Senior Principal and founding member of JMA, I look forward to working with our JMA Principal team and staff to carry on the legacy of hard work, integrity, creativity, and service to clients that Bob and Gregg have demonstrated for all of us.
