Ryder Revamps Tukwila Location with Help from JMA

Truck rental company Ryder recently used JMA’s retail design and delivery expertise to renovate their 15,680 SF vehicle servicing facility in Tukwila, Washington.

The tenant improvement project demolished and reconfigured the interiors of the first and second floors and included new finishes and paint on the exterior portions of the building. Detached awnings were also added over the shop bay doors to provide the service team some exterior weather protection.

In addition to the demolition and repainting, the renovation involved other cosmetic updates including LED lights, new flooring and ceiling tiles, updated restrooms and locker rooms, as well as reconfigured lounge and conference areas with new furniture.

“Our team did a great job fitting the company’s program into the existing footprint,” said JMA Principal Matt Laase. “The paint and material changes on the exterior created a much more inviting facility, and the new lighting and demolished walls made a huge difference in opening up the interior office areas.”

JMA also designed the renovation of a Ryder facility in Marysville, Washington. Click here to learn more about that project and our other commercial-retail projects.
