SUSTAINABILITY FEATURES AND METRICS
PASSIVE STRATEGIES - The project, a redevelopment of a parking lot within an existing business park, is well situated along the interstate corridor, reducing the carbon footprint of transporting goods and materials.
SHADING - Shading devices at regularly occupied areas.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS - Design and construction teams verified that at least 25 permanently installed products met Environmental Declarations and 24.5% met responsible extraction criteria.
PARTNERS - The project partnered with Glumac and FSi Engineers to coordinate and ensure design measures were implemented.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION - The total predicted annual energy consumption is 28.5% less than that of average new storage buildings.
AIR QUALITY - The project was designed to have increased ventilation in the office areas, and over 95% of Paints, Flooring, Composite Woods, and Insulation were VOC-free.
BIODIVERSITY - More than 99% of material waste was diverted from landfills, including material salvage, recycling, and upcycling.
SITE WATER - The site design reduced irrigation needs by 80%
WATER USAGE - The building meters all hot water usage and reduces domestic water consumption by 31% compared to the average warehouse building.
MATERIALS - The design and construction teams verified that at least 18 permanently installed products met the requirements for material ingredient reporting.
LIGHTING - The project specified light fixtures that achieved the required BUG ratings to reduce light pollution.
MECHANICAL - Through commissioning efforts, the design team field-verified the performance of all HVAC units during construction.
