Jackson | Main Architecture, P.S. (JMA) played a key role in the adaptive reuse of a former semiconductor manufacturing facility, transforming a 240,000 SF, two-story office and production building into a high-performance colocation data center. The project delivers approximately 57,000 SF of raised computer floor space, leveraging existing building infrastructure to optimize performance and efficiency. JMA strategically repurposed second-level ventilation fans to support airflow and thermal management within the data halls—demonstrating an innovative, cost-effective approach to cooling reuse. In addition to the core conversion, JMA designed a 100,000 SF expansion, supporting the client’s long-term scalability goals while maintaining operational continuity. The project highlights JMA’s expertise in mission-critical retrofits, infrastructure reuse, and phased data center expansion.
