900 Rainier Avenue Apartments | Seattle, WA

Jackson | Main Architecture, P.S. (JMA) provided architectural design services for a multifamily residential development located near Judkins Park in Seattle. The project developed by Housing Diversity Corp. in collaboration with Nitze-Stagen was envisioned as a high-density, transit-oriented residential community.

The eight-story building encompasses approximately 260,000 square feet and includes 395 residential units, three ground-floor retail spaces, a rooftop amenity deck, and two levels of urban courtyard spaces. The design also incorporates a double-stacked automated parking system to efficiently accommodate vehicle storage within a constrained urban site. A defining feature of the project is its approach to affordability, with designated affordable housing units provided on site rather than through contribution to the city’s housing fund. The site’s proximity to downtown Seattle, public parks, multiple light rail stations, and an extensive regional bike path network supports sustainable transportation and reinforces the project’s role within a growing, connected neighborhood.
