We provided full schematic design and pricing documents for Laurel Manor, a four-story senior living development designed to support dignity, independence, and meaningful social engagement for aging residents. The layout prioritizes wellness through thoughtful design strategies, including co-located common areas for shared dining, games, and interaction; private outdoor patios and walkable paths that encourage movement and connection; transit-oriented siting to support independence without reliance on personal vehicles; and ADA-compliant one-bedroom units designed for aging in place. More than just meeting code, the design reinforces a warm, non-institutional atmosphere through residential materials and consistent modular components, showcasing JMA’s ability to balance comfort, cost-efficiency, and a thorough understanding of seniors’ physical and emotional needs.
