Healthcare Design Team Earns National Recognition

JMA started working for healthcare providers in 2015 and has since earned national recognition in the market, specifically in Building Design + Construction’s 2021 Giants 400 Report where the firm was listed as a top architecture firm for hospital facilities and medical office buildings.

“We have provided design and space planning services for specialty clinics, hospitals, laboratories, medical office buildings, and assisted living facilities,” said Principal Tim Black who is leading JMA’s healthcare pursuits alongside Senior Project Manager and Medical Space Planner Mary Valmonte.  “I am proud of the work we have done, especially our projects for veterans in the VA healthcare system.”

JMA recently designed the transformation of an old gym in Sherman, Texas into a new community-based outpatient clinic for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) North Texas Health Care System. The clinic offers Primacy Care, Routine Physical Examinations, Laboratory Testing, Prescriptions, Immunizations, Preventive Health Maintenance, and Specialty Care Consults. It is one of many facilities JMA has designed for the VA.

The clinic was recently submitted to IIDA for consideration in the 2021 Healthcare Design Awards.
