Roystone Apartments | Seattle, WA

Jackson | Main Architecture, P.S. (JMA) provided architectural design services for Roystone Apartments, an eight story mixed-use residential development located in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. Developed by Vibrant Cities, the project contributes to a dense, pedestrian oriented urban corridor with strong access to public transportation and neighborhood amenities.

The approximately 74,096 square foot development includes 93 residential units supported by ground floor retail, roof decks, and shared resident amenities designed to activate both the building and the surrounding streetscape. The project prioritizes walkability and retail engagement, reinforcing the neighborhood’s role as an active mixed-use destination. A notable aspect of the project was the successful redevelopment of a formerly contaminated site previously occupied by a Texaco service station. Through careful planning and coordination, the site was transformed into a thriving residential and commercial environment. Completed and fully integrated into the neighborhood, Roystone Apartments supports a mix of affordable and market rate housing while strengthening the character of Seattle’s Uptown district.
